Code of Ethics of Police Force Members


Article 1

Police Force members (hereinafter referred to as “police officers” only) shall respect the human rights, freedoms and duties and avoid malicious and illegal conduct..


Article 2

Police officers shall perform their duties without respect to religious, racial, national, social, political, class and other external factors.


Article 3

Expressing their opinions in the public, the police officers shall officiate in an impartial and restrained way in order not to evoke doubtfulness on their impartiality.


Article 4

Police officers shall, in an exemplary way, observe the principles of civic coexistence both in the public and in their private lives.


Article 5

Police officers shall not abuse their memberships to the Police Force for getting the personal advantages or disadvantages in favour of the third persons.


Article 6

To perform their duties in a proper way, the police officers shall refrain from any business activities which would be in contradiction to independence of the police officers and their proper performance of duties.


Article 7

In spirit of official politeness, the police officers shall treat their colleagues in a polite and fair manner and shall not disregard their colleagues’ professional skills.


Article 8

Police officers shall manifest their friendliness, kindness, tactfulness and respectfulness towards any persons without exception.
