Values Statement
We, the members of the Clearlake Police Department, proudly commit ourselves to exercise and display the following values:
Professionalism:
We believe in the equal treatment of people, the delivery of a quality product, competence, doing the best job possible and exhibiting a positive attitude. Additionally, we value education and training, proper employee demeanor, commitment, loyalty, conformance to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and experiencing intrinsic reward.
Loyalty:
Loyalty to employees as well as employees= loyalty to the organization is important as is positional and personal loyalty. A commitment to provide honorable service to City government and community is expected of all. We recognize that personal loyalty is based on trust and organizational loyalty is based on professionalism.
Integrity:
Integrity is defined as honesty, conduct beyond reproach, standing by our word and not compromising our official position, office or self.
Cooperation:
Contributing to a harmonious organizational effort, good communications, getting long with others and working together for a common goal is expected of all. Goal achievement, volunteering and synergism are desired outcomes of cooperation.
Employee Welfare
We recognize the importance of employee physiological and psychological well-being.
