The Littleton Police Department has committed to both a new mission statement and a set of values that uphold the mission statement. The mission and value statements were created by the Chief's Advisory Committee, which is made up of rank and file police employees throughout the department. The mission statement sets a high standard of policing for the department and the community.
The purpose of the mission statement is to define and articulate the department's beliefs and guide the Littleton police in their day-to-day operations. This is part of the Littleton Police Department's commitment to the community policing philosophy that the community and police are united in partnership by a common goal, to enhance the quality of life for Littleton citizens and strengthen the city's neighborhoods.
