Mission and Values Statements

The mission of the Keego Harbor Police Department has been and will always be the maintenance of peace, reduction of crime, protection of lives and property, and professional service to the citizens of our community.

Values
This Mission Statement is built on values inherent to the Department. We believe in:

    We value human life and dignity above all else. Therefore:
    • We give first priority to situations which threaten life.
    • We use force only when necessary.
    • We treat all persons with courtesy and respect.

The Keego Harbor Police Department also uses the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics (revised, 1991).
