Mission Statement
The officers of the Jackson Police Department shall accept as their mission:
- The protection of Life and Property,
- The safeguarding of individual Rights and Freedoms,
- The maintenance of quality of life,
- The acceptance of public service as a primary tenent.
We shall fulfill our mission by adhering to principles of fundamental fairness, giving the highest regard to professional conduct, training, and moral responsibility. We shall never lose sight of our primary responsibility, The protection of Life and Property. We will temper our efforts by being ever mindful of principles of conduct, giving due regard to those rights afforded our citizens by the Constitution, Missouri Statutes, and Municipal Ordinances.
We accept that our citizens have come to expect a social order that insures they have no fear of crime, and that a high regard is given to quality of life. We shall insure these issues are addressed by always adhering to these basic fundamentals of public service;

Does it meet requirements of Fundamental freedoms,
Is it Ethical and Legal,
Does it promote individual responsibility,
Are we willing to be held accountable,
Is it consistent with visions, values and policies.
