OUR MISSION

Through providing diverse volunteer opportunities, the Bellevue Parks & Community Services Department's Volunteer Program seeks to develop bonding relationships with the public that foster support and facilitate citizen involvement in the stewardship of our community’s parks, natural areas, and human and cultural resources.

• Provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to the community that help instill a sense of pride, ownership, and shared responsibility of Parks & Community Services resources.
• Encourage and facilitate diverse and widespread citizen participation in the ongoing stewardship of park sites, facilities and programs.
• Create partnerships with organizations with similar purposes and interests to help provide efficient and expanded service delivery.
• Provide a comprehensive management structure of policies and procedures that ensures meaningful, safe, and effective community involvement.
• Educate the community on the range and scope of Parks & Community Services Department programs and services.
• Create a social atmosphere of mutual cooperation and trust where citizens and staff work together to plan, implement and celebrate successful delivery of Park & Community Service Department’s services.
