Mission Statement
The New Berlin Police Department's mission is to protect the life and
property of all people within our community. We will aggressively seek to
identify and prosecute those who commit crime in our community, while
impartially enforcing and following the law. We will be service oriented
problem solvers to the best of our abilities. We will foster community
policing, a cooperative effort between the police department, our citizens
and community groups with the purpose of educating our citizens, preventing
crime and improving the quality of life in New Berlin. The men and women of
the police department, along with the leaders and citizens of our community,
are jointly responsible for public safety. Working together, we can keep New
Berlin a safe place to live, learn and work.

can take full advantage of our individual talents, specialized skills,
innovative ideas and cumulative resources for the betterment of the
community.

personal growth so that we may provide safe, efficient, and cost effective
services to the community.
Through the review and implementation of policies and procedures and by
applying creative problem solving, we will strive to be fair and consistent
in the application of our services and be accountable to the citizens we are
sworn to protect and serve.
We believe in honest and open communication with the public that will keep
the community informed, aware, and educated about law enforcement issues and
crime, but protect the integrity of investigations and respect the privacy
of our employees and citizens when appropriate.
