Sign to be a website tester

Our goal is to find out how we can best serve students who use assistive technology. Will you help?

Volunteer as a website tester, and you’ll receive a $10 voucher redeemable at MBJ Cafeteria in the New Building. You’ll also help the library provide better service to you and your fellow students.

These 15- to 30-minute website tests will take place upstairs in the Library during Community Hour on April 11–14 and 18, 2016. At this time, we are only looking for website testers who regularly use assistive technologies to do their homework and/or use Library materials.

All sessions are 15- to 30 minutes long and will take place during Community Hour.

What’s involved? Website designers regularly test websites in usability studies to make sure that the site is functioning properly and that users can navigate the interface easily. In this study, a friendly moderator will ask you to try a few tasks on the library website and will ask for your feedback. The study will take place upstairs in the library. Please note: we are studying how well our website works, with your help and feedback; we are not studying you or how much you know about the library. All personal information will be anonymized. If you have any questions, please email Robin Davis, Emerging Technologies & Distance Services Librarian, at robdavis@jjay.cuny.edu.
