Welcome to Lloyd Sealy Library (John Jay College) 24/7 Chat
Chat with a librarian anytime! A John Jay or CUNY librarian will pick up your questions when we're available. Other times,
you'll be chatting with an academic librarian from anywhere in the U.S. If your question involves lengthy research, we'll
get you started and provide a referral for you.
Use Ask-a-Librarian for:
- Advice about how to begin researching a topic
- Suggestions about databases to use
- Tips about how to search databases, the library catalog or the web
- Assistance with evaluating the usefulness of a resource (book, article, web site, etc.)
- Help checking whether the library has a copy of a book, magazine, journal, etc., that you need
- Explanation of library services and policies
To speak with a John Jay librarian by phone, call (212) 237-8246 or -8247 during reference desk
service hours. You can also send questions via
email.
