Finding Books on CUNY+ |

CUNY+ is the online catalog for library materials held by the City
University libraries. CUNY+ includes records for books, periodical titles, reports, government
documents, etc. owned by any CUNY library. Additionally, many Web sites & Web documents have been
cataloged for your use. GETTING STARTED CUNY+ can
be searched for John Jay Library material only, or for all the City University libraries together
(CUNY Union Catalog). When in the Library the default setting will be the John Jay Catalog.
From off campus, choose to search only John Jay material by clicking ‘Select Individual CUNY Libraries’ from the blue taskbar at top of screen, then select John Jay. At top of screen, it should say, “You are searching: John Jay” . SEARCHING On the Basic Search Screen you can perform 2 types of searches: a Browse search (for an author, title, or subject heading) or a Keyword search (words located anywhere in a record). Browse should be used when you are trying to find a particular book and know the author or title or when you know the title of a specific journal. Keyword should be used when you are looking for material on a topic and do not know specific titles. |

LOCATING THE ITEM Look for the Holdings field on right of listing and click the link that says ‘John Jay College’ . |
