ScienceDirect is a database of science and social science journals published by the Elsevier Publishing Company. Libraries often subscribe to ScienceDirect through consortia. By doing so, members can get full-text electronic access to journals owned by any one of the consortium members. For John Jay, as part of CUNY & SUNY consortia, this gives us access to over 1,500 full-text journals covering the years 1997 to present.
