Access and Directions

Access

The Lloyd Sealy Library is open to all students and faculty of the City University of New York -- who may also borrow books -- with their current valid CUNY ID cards.

Access to the Library for outside researchers is usually only for materials that are not available elsewhere; that is, for materials unique to the John Jay collections. Researchers not associated with the City University of New York may obtain a METRO access card from a METRO-affiliated library in New York City, or may sometimes make arrangements for on-site use of the collection by contacting the reference desk (212) 237-8247 or by e-mail at libref@jjay.cuny.edu.

Directions

John Jay College is located two blocks from Columbus Circle. Subways: #1, 9, A, B, C, D to 59th Street and Columbus Circle.

The Library is in the Tenth Avenue Building at 899 Tenth Ave., between 58th and 59th Streets. Entrance to the Library is on the lower level of the building. Take the escalator down and proceed behind the escalator to the Library entrance.
