Searching for videos using the CUNY+ catalog

If you know the name of a video, you can search for it in CUNY+ just as you would a book (from the basic search screen). However, if you want to know what videos we have on a particular subject, it is easier to perform a guided search:

From the top of the screen in CUNY+, choose "Guided Search":

At the bottom of the Guided Search screen, use the pulldown arrow next to "all record types," to choose "videorecording."

Then search by all fields, title, author, or subject. So, for example, if you want to see what videos we have on civil rights, first choose videorecording from the "all record types" pulldown menu and then type in civil rights next to "all fields."

A number will display next to "view results." Click on that number for the list of titles.

To find out more about a video, click on the title. To get the call number for the video, click on the name of the college.
