Video Collection

The Library has recently acquired the College's Video Collection. The collection is expanding but currently includes approximately 3000 titles in VHS and DVD format. Most of the videos have now been cataloged and entered into the CUNY+ catalog. All videorecordings can now be searched for in CUNY+ and the old media catalog is no longer up to date. John Jay faculty are now able to check out videos for a three-day loan. Students and all other CUNY patrons can check out the videos for three-hour use in the library. To ensure that the videos you want are available when you need them, please reserve them in advance using the video reservation form. You will receive confirmation via email. Should you need a video on short notice, just go to the library's circulation desk and tell the staff there the number of the film you'd like. If it's not reserved for another faculty member, you will be able to check it out. If you need an extension on your 3-day loan, please contact us at libvideo@jjay.cuny.edu or x8269 before the video's due time.
