Law Enforcement News, a publication of John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY), was published continuously for 30 years beginning in September 1975. The highly acclaimed newspaper, for and about American policing, ceased publication with its September 2005 issue (Vol. XXXI, No. 636).

Those interested in back articles from LEN should, if possible, provide a complete citation for the articles they need to their local public or academic library. Articles are indexed in the Criminal Justice Periodical Index (CJPI) via ProQuest which is available in many college libraries with strong social science collections and in some major public libraries. In addition, excerpts of issues from April 1999 through September 2005 (and selected complete issues from 1996 and 1997), which may also be useful for finding citations, can be accessed by clicking on "Past Issues" at this site. Microform copies of the newspaper are available from ProQuest (1-800-521-0600) and can be found in 234 libraries worldwide.
