New “Help with Research” Wiki

The Sealy Library’s Help with Research page has changed to a Help with Research Wiki. Moving to a wiki will enable the Library faculty to add and change web pages much more easily and quickly and, we hope, provide better service to John Jay Library users. So far, we have added wiki pages for help doing research in Criminal Justice, Computer Information Systems, and Forensic Science, and have reorganized the Help with Research page so that you can more easily find information on our website.

Please let us know what you think, or give us suggestions about the pages we already have up or new ones you would like to see by clicking on Comments, below. The word “wiki,” we are told, means “quick, quick” in Hawaiian and we want to be able to respond “quick, quick” to changing needs and changing resources.

  1. Jean Garrod Says:

Anyone interested in policing developments in the UK might like to access a FREE monthly publication called ‘The Digest’. It is issued on the web by the National Policing Improvement Agency and gives brief updates of new and planned legislation, case law and other items of interest. Websites are also given where more detailed information can be found.

Access through www.npia.police.uk and look in ‘News & Events’ where the current and archived editions can be found.
