Criminal Justice Statistics: A Research Guide 1993
Statistics are an integral part of criminal justice research. However, locating the appropriate source for an elusive statistic can present a problem. This guide will list a number of statistical compilations and specific publications that will be useful for researchers in Corrections, Law Enforcement, and Crime. The use of the librarys catalog, and other appropriate online sources will also be discussed.
This guide will help you to identify a suitable directory for locating the information you need. Included here are directories listing firms and agencies that may provide career opportunities in particular occupational areas, directories providing information about politicians, their backgrounds and the way they have voted on important issues, and directories listing the names and addresses of international organizations, among many others.

Forensic Science: A Library Research Guide 6/96
This research guide is designed to introduce the forensic science resources available in the Lloyd Sealy Library of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Many of the resources discussed are unique to John Jay College in the CUNY system.
The John Jay College Library offers a number of useful reference sources that provide biographical and critical information about authors and their works. This handout contains detailed descriptions of four major series and a list of other books that might prove helpful.
