Supplemental forms of library instruction
30-minute Classroom Visits
A librarian can come to the classroom to demonstrate the use of a particular database or to discuss a significant research point.
Tutorials for Faculty
Upon request, a librarian can prepare a one-on-one overview tutorial on any of the library-held resources. After such an informal workshop, faculty should be comfortable presenting a given resource to their students on their own.
Drop-in Workshops for Students
Students may take advantage of our 30-minute Drop-in Workshops. These informal general and discipline-specific workshops are frequently scheduled» during the Fall and Spring semesters. There is no need to sign up. Please encourage your students to attend.
Faculty-led Sessions in the Library Classroom
Faculty who want to instruct their classes in the use of the library's electronic resources may book the library classroom that seats 36 students. Please submit a request or contact Prof. Marta Bladek at mbladek@jjay.cuny.edu or (212) 237 8997 to make arrangements.
