Alumni access policies
- Alumni must present their John Jay Alumni card to access the Library.
- The John Jay Alumni card grants access only to the John Jay Library. It does not include other CUNY libraries.
- Use of electronic resources (including databases) is limited to on-campus use only.
Research resources that alumni can use
Alumni are welcome to use electronic resources, including databases, in the Library (but may not access them from home). Inside the Library, alumni can browse our collections and use computer workstations. Guest printing accounts and guest wifi access are also available.
Some databases are freely available for anyone to access from anywhere.
See also our list of Open Access discovery tools for finding quality, peer-reviewed, academic journal articles that are free to read.
